Despite the blizzard that began on Tourism Day in Annapolis there was an incredible showing of support by members of Maryland’s tourism industry and the Maryland Tourism Council and Maryland Destination Marketing Organizations would like to thank everyone who made the trip for the important purpose of speaking with legislators about the marketing budget for tourism in our state.
As an update to the events of Tourism Day, please note that the hearings on the budget are on February 24 at 1:00 p.m. in the House Appropriations Committee, Education and Economic Development Subcommittee (Room 145 in the Lowe House Office Building). We invite tourism supporters and professionals to attend to once again show our strong support for our industry. The Senate Budget and Tax committee, Health and Education and Human Resources Subcommittee will hold its hearing on the budget on March 1 in Room 3 West of the Miller Senate office building.
