Celebrate Maryland Tourism Week by volunteering your time to help clean, plant, learn, and have fun!
During lunch hear updates from John Ohler, Tuckahoe State Park Manager, Nita Settina from Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Barbara Siegert from Queen Anne’s County, and Kathy Mackel from Caroline County.
Give Back! Tree and perennial planting, mulching, trimming… Just ask those that attended last year, it was a fantastic day!
Joe Fernandez of AAA World Magazine, an MTC Booard member and annual partner, said “it was awesome spending the day with other volunteers with a common goal, fun conversations, and spectacular weather made for a really memorable day. Knowing that as a team, we helped make a great place a bit nicer made it all the better.”

Social Media Marketing: Content, Communication, & Connection
Social media is the concept and process of using new media and online channels to not only market your company but also to communicate with your industry and clients, provide valuable content and information to your audience, and generate sales leads while increasing the visibility of your company or brand online.
This seminar will provide an overview of the major social media platforms like blogs, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook and discuss how they can be integrated into your promotion, marketing, or sales plans. Each of our tourism industry presenters is intimately familiar with new media and social marketing and will share their specific experience in using social media to better communicate and connect with Maryland’s travelers. There will also be ample time for Q&A so that you are equipped with the resources, information, and action items that will allow you to successfully implement social media components into your marketing plans.
